Ngāti Koata Trust provides education, health and sports grants to members of the iwi. Grants are considered four times per year:

Criteria:
- Applicants must be registered members of Ngāti Koata Trust, or whakapapa verified. Unsure if you are? Please contact us and we will check for you. Phone 03 5481639 or email pa@ngatikoata.com.

- Download the relevant grant application form. Complete and return with all requested documentation by the closing date. Email: pa@ngatikoata.com | Post: PO Box 1659, Nelson, 7040 | Personal delivery: 137 Vickerman Street, Nelson.
- All completed applications received during the open period will be considered.
- Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
- Please contact us if you have any questions about requested documentation.
Please Note:
- Grants are one-off assistance towards education, health and sports needs.
- Approved grant amounts may only be a portion of the amount requested.
- Applicants will not be awarded more than one grant per category in a year.

Wakatū Incorporation
Click here to apply for the Wakatū Incorporation Tertiary Scholarship. Applicants must be Wakatū shareholders or descendants of Wakatū shareholders and demonstrate a strong desire to get qualified.
Marlborough Lines
The Marlborough Lines Tertiary Scholarship for Māori is available to Māori studying at tertiary level who reside within the Marlborough Lines region (westwards of D’Urville Island, north to the Marlborough Sounds and south to Waipapa Bay).
