Ngāti Koata Trust Grants

Ngāti Koata Trust provides health, education and sports grants to members of the iwi. Grant funding is allocated quarterly on the following dates and close when funding for each category has been allocated:

Quarter 1 | 1 April 2020
Quarter 2 | 1 July 2020
Quarter 3 | 1 October 2020
Quarter 4 | 11 January 2021

NGĀTI KOATA TRUST – IMPORTANT GRANTS UPDATE

Changes are coming to the way we do grants!  The review process has started and will be rolled out on 1st April 2021.

In the meantime here are the key changes to be aware of for the next and final quarter of the 2020/21 financial year:

 All grant categories (health, education and sports) will open on Friday 1st January 2021.

  • All grant categories will close on Sunday 31st January 2021.
  • This means you have 4 weeks to get your grant applications in.
  • Grants will be processed and reviewed between 1st – 14th February, after the quarter has closed (and not before).
  • Only complete grant applications will be considered. Please ensure you attach all requested documentation. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their grant application/s between 15th – 19th February.
  • Approved grants will be loaded for payment on 20th February.
  • Please note that the application form has not changed.
  • Please remember, grants are one-off assistance towards education, health and sports needs.

 KEY CHANGES/INFO TO NOTE:

 Grants will now run on an 8-week cycle.

  • All complete grant applications received during the open period will be considered.
  • Grants will no longer be processed on a first come, first served basis.
  • Incomplete or late grant applications will not be considered.

 

GRANT APPLICATION TIMEFRAME FOR Q4:

WEEKS 1- 4 Grants Open: 1st January 2021    Close: 31st January 2021

WEEKS 5-6 Grant Processing & Review: 1st – 14th February 2021

WEEK 7 Grant Notification Period: 15th – 19th February 2021

WEEK 8 Grant Payment Date: 20th February 2021

    1. Download the grant application form from our website.
    2. Open your browser and go to smallpdf.com
    3. Click CHOOSE FILE and upload the application form.
    4. Fill out the form using the ADD TEXT and DRAW functions.
    5. Click FINISH and email to pa@ngatikoata.com along with any other documentation.

    Education Scholarships

    Wakatū Incorporation

    Click here to apply for the Wakatū Incorporation Tertiary Scholarship. Applicants must be Wakatū shareholders or descendants of Wakatū shareholders and demonstrate a strong desire to get qualified.

    Marlborough Lines

    The Marlborough Lines Tertiary Scholarship for Māori is available to Māori studying at tertiary level who reside within the Marlborough Lines region (westwards of D’Urville Island, north to the Marlborough Sounds and south to Waipapa Bay).
