Tena koutou katoa,

As I commence this new adventure of service for our tribe and our rohe I am aware of the importance to advance the aspirations of our Iwi.  I look forward to building on the relationships with the Iwi of Te Tauihu and the many projects we are currently engaged in and of course our external relationships.  Connecting with our Iwi that don’t live in this region is also important.  This will require some fine tuning to get the balance right for us and we will need to work in unity to achieve this goal. I send my aroha to you all for your support.

Nou te rourou Naku te rourou ka ora ai te Iwi

Aunty Mel
